Brand new for 2011, the Kendo is a shining example of what it is to be a Volkl ski. Touted as a skinnier Mantra, the Kendo offers so much more. Utilizing a simple and powerful construction the Kendo is an ideal ski for aggressive skiers that favor firmer snow conditions but do not want to get left behind when the deep stuff arrives. Volkl's classic power construction is the heart of the Kendo, a full Sensorwood core, layered top and bottom with titanium, and full length vertical sidewalls. Placed inside an 88mm waisted ski, the Kendo will give you precision, grip, power and sensitivity. The Kendo itches to show off, ripping carves on the hard pack with edge hold and power that never falters; bombing that freshly covered bowl. While the Kendo prefers packed snow hard charging, all mountain skiers will be hard pressed to find terrain that the Kendo will not dominate.
Skis come unmounted. The reason for this is simple; we are concerned for your safety! You must have a certified ski shop mount and calibrate (binding test) your equipment. The shop must have the proper equipment (jigs) and torque testing machine (calibration) to set your gear up to the proper settings. Most shops will charge $40 - $50 for a mount and calibration.
